I love cooking with cast iron. In fact, so much so that my 2 skillets seldom are stored away. They have their place on my stove top waiting for my next food creation.
So it’s only natural that it became a subject for a painting.
I pulled out a quart jar of roasted Astiana tomatoes that I had canned over the summer - it makes the best sauce! - and poured it in.
I might add some garlic and herbs, but that’s it.
It simmers. I stir.
Then it’s done!
